Job summary

Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools is seeking an ML Compliance & Family Engagement Specialist to serve as a liaison between multilingual families and schools, coordinating enrollment, language services, and program compliance.

The role supports English Learner and Dual Language programs, translates documents, and maintains student records across ELLevation and Infinite Campus while collaborating with district staff for equitable access and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and at least one partner language.
• Strong organization and interpersonal skills.
• Experience translating or interpreting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between multilingual families, schools, and the district.
• Coordinate ESL/DL services, enrollment, and compliance activities.
• Translate letters and interpret meetings as required.
• Collaborate with counselors to schedule newcomer students and tours.
• Prepare emails with scores, backgrounds, and transportation needs.
• Train staff on ELLevation and data systems.
