Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, TX seeks a senior quality leader responsible for managing multiple quality disciplines within a program. You will coordinate recruitment, training, performance assessments and disciplinary actions while ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and adherence to quality requirements.

The role requires AS9100 knowledge, leadership in a manufacturing setting, ability to read engineering drawings, and strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, interpret and instruct using engineering drawings, specifications and processes
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate subordinate recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment and recognition/disciplinary actions
  • Ensure identification and flow down of quality requirements and effective implementation of quality requirements
  • Implement and monitor a quality management system within the area of responsibility
  • Lead risk and opportunity management processes and address adverse trends
  • Ensure product acceptance and delivery per established process and program requirements

Job description

Standard Job Description Manages more than one functional area in Quality, Reliability, Test, or Inspection. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for resource allocation, work assignments and establishing/maintaining an effective business rhythm. Responsible for all aspects of quality for assigned area of responsibility. Communicates quality requirements, concerns and expectations. Active participant in risk and opportunity management processes. Ensures cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met. Ensures appropriate identification and flow down of quality requirements (internal and contractual) and effective implementation of quality requirements. Ensures effective implementation of quality management system within area of responsibility. Ensures effective implementation of a metrics program and actively address adverse trends. Ensures product acceptance and delivery per established process and program requirements. Note: This job code will be used for quality personnel that have lead responsibility for a program with one or more quality disciplines.

Basic Qualifications
  • Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of team management and process improvement.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 standards and expectations
  • Ability to read, interpret and instruct utilizing engineering drawings, specifications and processes
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office software programs, with
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills
  • Motivational skills and the ability to energize teams, with experience in a union environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean manufacturing concepts and cost reduction, with an understanding of business metrics to drive performance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FOD prevention and FOD elimination
  • Aviation inspection experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Daily customer interface experience
  • Bachelor's degree within an appropriate discipline is highly desireable
  • Ability to work any shift
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
