Job summary

Freddie Mac Multifamily is seeking a Multifamily Underwriting Professional to join the Targeted Affordable Housing team. You will build toward credit approval and closing mortgages collateralized by multifamily properties, contributing to Freddie Mac's mission of making home possible.

You will review investment briefs, ensure data quality for loan securitization, analyze pro forma statements, coordinate with Producers, and help resolve issues to keep deals moving from due diligence to approval.

Qualifications

• 2 - 4 years of related professional experience, preferably in multifamily or commercial real estate finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build toward credit approval and closing individual mortgage loans collateralized by multifamily properties.
• Accurately review and ensure concise, complete, and clear Investment Briefs and ensure data quality for loan securitization.
• Analyze and conclude on unique affordable housing pro forma property financial statement considerations, resolve transactional issues, and work with Producers to structure deals.
• Develop resolutions to problems of limited scope following specific and detailed procedures.
