We are looking for a Multifamily Property Management System Support Specialist to join our team and play an important role in supporting the technology and systems used across our property management operations.

Position Overview

The Multifamily Property Management System Support Specialist is responsible for supporting, analyzing, improving, and managing property management systems to help maximize operational efficiency across the organization.

This position will work closely with property teams, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional departments to troubleshoot system issues, provide user support and training, assist with system implementations and transitions, and identify opportunities to improve processes and system functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and resolve software and system issues submitted through the company’s ticketing system, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for property management system-related questions and troubleshooting.
  • Provide end-user support, guidance, and training to help property teams maximize the use and effectiveness of company software.
  • Develop strong working knowledge of the organization’s key property management software platforms, with a preference for RealPage experience.
  • Manage system settings, user roles, permissions, and access rights across multiple software platforms.
  • Work collaboratively with property management and cross-functional teams to identify system and operational needs.
  • Analyze current processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and system functionality.
  • Assist with system transitions, software upgrades, and implementations.
  • Support data validation and user acceptance testing during system changes and transitions.
  • Provide post-transition troubleshooting and support to ensure successful adoption of new systems.
  • Identify potential project risks and proactively communicate and address issues.
  • Escalate complex system issues to appropriate leadership or technical resources when necessary.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with internal stakeholders regarding system issues, available resources, and support needs.
  • Translate technical information into clear, practical instructions for non-technical users.
  • Maintain accountability for assigned projects, issues, and deadlines.
  • Assist with additional administrative and operational tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with property management systems, analyzing processes, and implementing improvements. MUST BE BASED IN TX
  • Previous experience in an administrative, support, operations, or property management role.
  • Intermediate proficiency with property management software, including experience managing system settings, user roles, permissions, and access rights.
  • Experience working within the multifamily property management industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred
  • Experience with RealPage property management software.
  • Experience using ticketing systems to manage and resolve technical or software‑related issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with process improvement techniques and tools.
  • Experience supporting software implementations, system transitions, or upgrades.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to assess system functionality and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical users.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and easy‑to‑understand manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, requests, and competing deadlines.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong customer‑service mindset when supporting internal users.
  • Ability to take initiative and identify solutions rather than simply identifying problems.
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who understands both multifamily operations and technology. The successful candidate will be able to understand the challenges property teams face in their day-to-day operations and use their knowledge of property management systems to provide practical solutions.

If you enjoy troubleshooting, helping others, improving processes, and finding ways to make property management systems work more efficiently, this could be a great opportunity to grow with AMBO Properties.
