Peabody Properties seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its team at an apartment community in Roxbury, MA. The role supports the Service Manager with a wide range of maintenance needs, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in facilities maintenance, strong communication, reliable transportation, and the ability to respond promptly to emergencies during on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and self-motivation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
• Perform locks, carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and janitorial work.
• Keep exterior grounds and common areas clean and well-maintained.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and support the Service Manager.

Peabody Properties seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its team of property management professionals at an apartment community in Roxbury, MA.

The Maintenance Technicians role requires effective and careful evaluation in response to a broad range of maintenance needs to assist the Service Manager with the efficient operation of property.

• Maintaining a high level of cleanliness in the buildings common areas and other assigned areas;
• Maintains exterior grounds according to company standards.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or GED;
• Prior experience in the facilities maintenance field with a minimum of 3 years and related job experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both written and verbal;
• Solid computer skills;
• Excellent customer service skills a must;
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal;
• Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter;
• Prior experience in the facilities maintenance field;
• On-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends and holidays;
• Ability to respond and remedy maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Reliable vehicle needed to perform essential duties of the position.

Compensation and Benefits
