Job summary

Middleburg Communities is seeking a Project Engineer to support multiple multifamily construction projects. The role provides technical and field support to the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Subcontractors, and is essential to delivering high-quality work.

The candidate should have strong communication skills, experience with document control, RFIs, submittals, and drawing management, and be able to coordinate with diverse teams on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; familiarity with Procore is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety program per company policies and applicable laws.
• Manage documents: RFIs, submittals, drawings, and updates.
• Maintain master sketches, specs, and drawings.
• Coordinate submittals: log, review, and distribute to team.
• Coordinate RFIs: log, submit, track, and distribute to team.
• Support site meetings documentation.
• Maintain electronic as-built drawings and redlines.
• Assist with permit tracking, inspections, and subcontractor coordination.
• Support close-out documentation and turnover processes.
• Track punch list completion and communicate with subs.
