Job summary

INH Properties is seeking a full-time, mid-level experienced Maintenance Technician/Painter that will take pride in making our apartment community a great place to live! Based in St.

Cloud, MN, you will own both maintenance and painting tasks across our properties. This role combines hands-on workmanship with responsive resident service, covering grounds upkeep, painting interiors, and ensuring move-in readiness.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid Driver’s License.
• Previous experience with painting.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Dry walling including painting and carpentry.
• Working knowledge of light plumbing and electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Communicating professionally with residents when fulfilling maintenance requests.
• Grounds upkeep and snow removal.
• Janitorial to keep our community looking impeccable.
• Responding to work orders in a timely manner.
• Work as a team to ensure apartments are ready for all move-ins and maintain our communities to the highest standard.
• Cleaning/Maintaining common areas.
• Interior painting.
• All other duties required to create a great living environment for our residents.
• Communicating with the community manager to determine painting requirements.
• Operate equipment such as airless spray equipment, scaffolding, paint brushes/rollers etc.
• Covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint.
• Preparing surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until they’re smooth.
• Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them.
• Mixing and matching paint, stain and other finishes to job specifications.
• Applying paint, stain and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers or sprayers.
• Maintaining an inventory of supplies like paint brushes, rollers and tarps.
• Removing and reinstalling fixtures (e.g., doorknobs, electric switch covers) as necessary.
