Job summary

Cortland in Atlanta is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our community safe, functional, and well-maintained by diagnosing and repairing building systems, supporting preventative maintenance, and protecting the property's assets through consistent care.

You will perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs, address safety hazards, respond to on-call emergencies, and document work while communicating clearly with residents and team members to ensure quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• EPA certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3+ years of maintenance, facilities, or multi-family housing experience.
• Strong technical skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repair.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple work orders.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to operate tools and maintenance equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and resolve issues across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC units and building systems.
• Monitor and report on condition of building and security systems.
• Respond to on-call rotations and emergency maintenance.
• Document work and communicate safety concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and spare parts.
• Provide friendly, professional service to residents and colleagues.
