Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is hiring a Maintenance Technician for multifamily communities in the Austin area. The role focuses on making ready apartments, timely resident service, and safe, clean grounds.

You will perform basic plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and painting tasks while ensuring high standards of resident satisfaction. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1+ year of related experience, and certifications such as EPA 608 Type II and CPO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school required.
• EPA 608 Type II and CPO or local city required certifications.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to read/understand policy manuals, safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or move objects.

Responsibilities

• Prepares make ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning and general repairs.
• Responds to resident requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintains grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas and dog park amenities.
• On-call scheduling for after-hours emergencies.
• Reports maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Performs maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Adheres to safety procedures and company policies.

Skills
