Job summary

General Services Corporation (GSC) invites applications for a Maintenance Technician role in Charleston, SC. The position requires basic plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and carpentry tasks as part of routine property maintenance.

You will perform repairs, complete work orders with Servus Connect, and help uphold the company’s standards of safety and quality on multifamily properties. Valid driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of maintenance repair experience.
• EPA 608 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Appliance repair/installation including dishwashers, disposals, stoves, and refrigerators.
• Complete work orders using Servus Connect.
• Electrical - replacement of switches, outlets, and light fixtures.
• Plumbing - sweat copper, install faucet washers/stems, traps, toilets, and appliances.
• Glazing, caulking, minor carpentry and screening.
• Maintain curb appeal with power blower and pressure washer.
• Complete turns, evictions and major furniture moving.
• Complete interior/exterior maintenance projects as requested by supervisor.
• Adhere to O&M and Respiratory Protection Programs.
• Support enforcement of company standards by reporting issues.
