Job summary

Redwood Communities, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Huntsville, AL to perform routine and preventive maintenance across apartment communities. The role supports operations by handling maintenance requests, assisting with property upkeep, and ensuring units are ready for occupancy.

The position offers a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule with hourly pay of $18–$20. Qualifications include prior maintenance experience at multiple locations, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass

Qualifications

• Experience performing general maintenance tasks at multiple locations.
• Ability to work with a diverse population in a residential environment.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Successful completion of background check.
• Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. meeting I-9 guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prioritize, and complete maintenance requests for apartment units, common areas, and building exteriors.
• Repair interior and exterior aspects such as painting, drywall, electrical, plumbing, and minor appliances.
• Collaborate with the Community Manager to prepare vacant units for re-rent in a timely manner.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for equipment, systems, and building infrastructure.
• Monitor operation of critical building systems for safety and compliance.
• Conduct regular grounds maintenance to maintain curb appeal and a welcoming environment.
• Perform interior and exterior cleaning tasks to maintain a safe, clean property.
