Job summary

Kalos Residential is seeking a Service Technician to support the on-site maintenance team. You will diagnose and repair issues, handle unit turns, and carry out preventive maintenance across multiple trade areas while ensuring residents’ homes are well cared for.

This hands-on, high-volume role requires self-direction, reliability, and strong communication with the Service Manager. You’ll be part of a team dedicated to quality and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience in multifamily, facilities, construction, or a skilled trade preferred.
• Working knowledge across at least two core trade areas: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, or drywall.
• Familiarity with Entrata or a comparable work order platform is a plus.
• EPA 608 certification preferred but not required.
• OSHA safety awareness expected.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and complete repairs correctly the first time; document work in Entrata and escalate as needed.
• Execute unit turns and make-readies with the required quality and on schedule.
• Perform preventive maintenance per PM program (filters, HVAC, detectors, seasonal tasks) and document work.
• Maintain grounds and common areas; flag issues for attention and communicate with supervisor.
