Job summary

Birge & Held in Columbus, OH is seeking a Service Technician I to support daily maintenance across residential properties. You will perform basic repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems while ensuring resident satisfaction and compliance with company standards.

You’ll manage work orders, coordinate with the operations team, assist with on-call after hours, and help keep grounds clean and safe. A valid driver’s license and EPA/HVAC certifications preferred.

Qualifications

Formal technical training in heating and air conditioning preferred.
EPA certification for refrigerant handling preferred or willingness to obtain.
HVAC certification preferred and will travel between properties with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Conduct maintenance and repair tasks on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
Complete work orders within 48 hours and turnovers within five working days.
Provide on-site support, assist in keeping grounds clean and safe, and coordinate with the operations team.
Participate in after-hours on-call emergencies and maintain documentation.
