Job summary

Birge & Held is seeking a Service Technician II responsible for maintaining the community’s physical assets, completing service requests on time, and ensuring a high-quality resident experience. Reports to the Operations Manager and collaborates with the maintenance team.

Ideal candidates bring at least two years in apartment maintenance, EPA refrigerant certification, and a proactive, safety-conscious approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of apartment maintenance or related field.
• EPA certification required for refrigerant handling or willingness to obtain.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation if travel between properties.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and common areas for cleanliness, safety, and visual appeal.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
• Complete and document work orders promptly and communicate progress to the team.
• Participate in on-call rotations to respond to after-hours maintenance needs.
