Job summary

LR Management is seeking a dependable Maintenance Supervisor in Michigan to oversee safety, maintenance, and equipment needs across our apartment properties. You will work with the Property Manager and lead maintenance activities to keep communities well-maintained.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in multi-family maintenance or supervision, HVAC/EPA certification, and experience with Yardi. Strong budgeting, scheduling, and team leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years minimum experience as a Maintenance Supervisor (preferred) or Technician in a multi-family apartment setting or equivalent industry.
• HVAC and EPA Certification
• Experience with Yardi
• Experience in estimating maintenance and repair timelines and costs associated with projects
• The ability to set goals and create a plan to accomplish them
• The ability to understand and work within a budget
• Knowledge of property management at the leasing and administrative levels.
• Intermediate computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
• Proven time management skills in meeting deadlines and achieving goals
• The ability to create a team-centered environment and lead that team effectively
• The ability to take direction from leadership and follow through on the directive
• Pool certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, changing locks and cutting keys, make ready punch lists, carpentry, landscaping, and general curb appeal
• Ordering supplies for inventory
• Scheduling projects in vacant apartments ahead of time to get work completed in a timely manner
• Managing large capital projects including bidding, supervising contractors and sub-contractors, and reviewing completed work
• Communicating with vendors and staff to resolve any issues
