Job summary

Lion Real Estate Group is seeking a hands-on Service Manager to lead maintenance across a multifamily portfolio in Houston. You will direct maintenance operations, mentor technicians, and oversee preventive maintenance, turns, and capital projects to ensure high resident satisfaction.

You’ll coordinate with vendors and regional leadership to uphold safety standards, budgets, and quality workmanship while supporting on-call coverage for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Previous Service Manager, Lead Maintenance Technician, or Maintenance Supervisor experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general maintenance.
• EPA Certification required or ability to obtain as required by local regulations.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to develop maintenance teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to resident service, safety, and quality workmanship.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Driver's License and insured operable vehicle (Mileage Reimbursement offered)

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all maintenance operations for a multifamily apartment community.
• Manage and develop maintenance team members to ensure high-quality service and performance.
• Coordinate and prioritize work orders, preventive maintenance programs, and emergency repairs.
• Oversee apartment turns and make-ready schedules to support occupancy goals.
• Ensure community systems, equipment, and amenities are maintained in excellent condition.
• Manage vendor relationships, inventory, and maintenance budgets.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, safety programs, and OSHA requirements.
• Support capital improvement projects and property inspections.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed
