Job summary

Freddie Mac Multifamily seeks a motivated underwriting professional to support Targeted Affordable Housing loans. You will assess credit risk, review investment briefs, and collaborate with lenders to structure multifamily deals.

The role focuses on underwriting, data quality for securitization, and resolving issues through disciplined analysis. Ideal candidates hold a related degree, have up to 2 years in CRE finance, and are proficient with Excel/Word.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business Admin or related field or comparable experience.
0–2 years of related professional experience, preferably in multifamily or CRE finance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Position requires travel.

Responsibilities

Build toward credit approval and closing individual mortgage loans collateralized by multifamily properties.
Review and ensure concise, complete Investment Briefs and data quality for loan securitization.
Analyze unique affordable housing pro forma statements, resolve third-party report issues, help structure deals and present for approval.
Develop resolutions to problems of limited scope following procedures.
