Job summary

Middleburg Communities is seeking a Project Engineer to support multifamily construction projects. You will assist the Project Manager and Superintendent, manage submittals, RFIs, drawings, and site documentation, and help ensure safety and quality.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. This on-site position offers competitive benefits and a path toward project leadership within our growing southeastern portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, and an understanding of Procore are a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to assess and prioritize a variety of tasks, projects, and demands.
• Ability to organize and interact effectively with others.
• Dedicated to producing high-quality work through passion, self-motivation, and strong discipline.

Responsibilities

• Enforce the safety program in line with policies and laws.
• Manage documents: RFIs, submittals, drawings, and updates.
• Maintain master list of sketches, specs, and drawings.
• Manage submittal process: log, review, submit, track, distribute.
• Manage RFI process: create, submit, log, track, distribute.
• Support documentation of site meetings.
• Maintain electronic as-built drawing package and redlines.
• Support project team with documentation, permits, inspections, and subcontractor coordination.
• Assist in close-out documentation collection and binder assembly.
• Participate in project turnover process.
• Track punch list completion and distribute to subs.
