Job summary

Freddie Mac is seeking a technically skilled professional to join the Multifamily Capital Markets team. You will research topics, analyze financial data, and develop fact‑based recommendations while building lightweight Python prototypes to test ideas.

You will coordinate across Finance, Risk, Operations, and Technology, delivering across the full lifecycle from problem framing to implementation. The role rewards ownership, momentum, and cross‑functional collaboration with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in capital markets, financial services, portfolio management, securitization, quantitative analysis, business analysis, product development, initiative delivery, consulting, strategy, or related analytical fields.
• Familiarity with fixed income, mortgages, derivatives, hedging, credit‑risk transfer, or asset‑liability management is beneficial but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and working proficiency with Python, SQL, Excel.
• Demonstrated conscientiousness, ownership, and follow‑through while managing several concurrent projects.
• Understanding of P&L, financial analysis, market‑risk measurement, capital allocation, or financial reporting is preferred.
• Advanced degree in finance, economics, quantitative finance, business, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities and problems with the greatest potential impact on the business.
• Create an integrated view across products, risks, economics, and Capital Markets functions.
• Improve transparency into business performance, risk, and management trade‑offs.
• Move promising ideas from concept through implementation.
• Ensure initiatives have clear ownership, decisions, and follow‑through.
• Gather and reconcile information, analyze data, build quantitative models, and identify gaps.
