Job summary

V2X Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Project Engineer I to join the Project Engineering Department.

You will support all phases of development, collaborating with Systems, Hardware, Software, Production, and Quality Assurance teams to design, develop, and deliver products that meet technical and cost targets. The role requires strong communication, systems engineering expertise, and the ability to manage backlogs and agile releases while maintaining compliance with DoD and ITAR standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Systems Engineering knowledge – Requirements Management, IV&V experience, and life cycle management of projects.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Ability to create and maintain project plans. This includes leading and coordinating project tailoring.
• Ability to gain or hold a US Government Secret Security Clearance.
• US Citizenship required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, and Windows.
• Proficient with Microsoft Project and scheduling practices.
• Basic understanding of reading and comprehending drawings, specifications, and other technical information.

Responsibilities

• Support the technical authority and design owner for assigned programs.
• Coordinate the development of spend plans, staffing plans, the project schedule, and the program organizational chart.
• Support the creation of the project backlog, write user stories, and support management of releases for Agile Projects.
• Support project reviews, supporting the creation and presentation of program cost, schedule and measurement data to business leadership and customers.
• Collaborate with the Program Management to ensure technical cost, schedule, and performance objectives are achieved.
• Participate in Program Review preparations, supporting the program manager in the development of program review data for business leadership.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards (DoD, MIL-STD, ITAR, cyber compliance, etc.).
• Support proposals within Program areas. This includes supporting the assembly of engineering estimates, supporting Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and supporting the writing and review of proposal volumes.
• Support and Lead cross-disciplinary technical teams across systems, software, hardware, cybersecurity, integration, and test.
