Job summary

V2X Inc. in Indianapolis seeks a Production Chief Engineer to lead technical execution for the Weapons System Integration team. You will own the technical baseline, drive risk management, and coordinate with customer leadership to deliver mission-capable, compliant solutions.

The role requires leading multi-disciplinary teams across systems, software, hardware, and cybersecurity, while ensuring program success and adherence to DoD standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 15+ years of defense system development and program execution.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on DoD or aerospace programs.
• Proven technical leadership in MRO environments.
• Knowledge of routings and work instructions.
• Experience with MRBs, production transitions, and risk management.
• Proficiency with the DoD acquisition lifecycle and MIL-STD standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority and design owner for assigned programs.
• Develop, maintain, and control the technical baseline, architecture, interfaces, and design integrity.
• Lead cross-disciplinary technical teams across systems, software, hardware, cybersecurity, integration, and test.
• Act as customer-facing technical lead for reviews and program execution.
• Identify, assess, and manage technical risks throughout the program lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the Program Manager to meet technical cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
• Lead technical gate reviews and readiness assessments (PRRs, FRBs, CTS).
• Ensure compliance with DoD standards and cyber requirements.
• Provide technical leadership for proposals, including BOE and architecture development.
