Job summary

Cherokee Millwright, a part of EMCOR Group, is seeking a skilled Multi-Craft Millwright to install, dismantle, or move machinery in customer facilities. You will follow layout plans, rigging plans, and blueprints, performing essential duties across millwright, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, and related trades.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and 2–4 years of related experience, with the ability to work in challenging environments and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Examine objects, systems, or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
Dismantles machines and moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, airbags, and forklifts.
Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.
Constructs foundations for machines and adjusts components to set specified clearances.
Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
Assembles machines, bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundations or structures.
Uses various hand tools, power tools, torches, and welders.
Operates forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
Additional skills in other crafts may be required to meet customer needs.
