Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking a Machine Repair Technician in Hastings, Michigan for a global manufacturing client. The role focuses on maintaining safety, reliability, and performance of industrial equipment across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

This multicraft maintenance position requires troubleshooting PLC-controlled machinery, preventative and corrective maintenance, and collaboration with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Apprenticeship in Machine Repair, Industrial Maintenance, Millwright, or related field preferred.
• Journeyperson Certificate or documented machine-repair hours preferred.
• Experience as a Machine Repair Technician or Industrial Maintenance role in manufacturing.
• Strong multicraft maintenance skills across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting both low- and high-voltage electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and automation systems.
• Read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Install, level, relocate, and assist with commissioning new equipment.
• Document maintenance activities in the CMMS and communicate downtime concerns.
• Ensure safety and adherence to Lockout/Tagout procedures.
