Job summary

Our Hastings, Michigan client is seeking experienced Machine Repair Technicians to maintain safety, reliability, and performance of industrial equipment. A multicraft role, you will troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems, perform preventive and corrective work, and support commissioning of production machinery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with industrial maintenance experience.
• Apprenticeship in Machine Repair or Industrial Maintenance preferred.
• Journeyperson certificate or documented qualifying experience preferred.
• Experience as Machine Repair/Industrial/Multicraft Maintenance in manufacturing environment.
• Strong multicraft maintenance across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical.
• Basic PLC knowledge and ability to troubleshoot automation faults.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and automated equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and automation failures.
• Troubleshoot low- and high-voltage electrical systems, including motors, sensors, relays, contactors, and control panels.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals for maintenance tasks.
• Install, relocate, and commission new production equipment.
• Document maintenance and inspections in CMMS accurately.
• Support root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure safe operation with proper guarding and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
