Monarch Steel Company of Alabama, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the production equipment and plant systems in a fast-paced steel facility.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery, follow safety policies, and participate in preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate preferred.
• Experience in welding, maintenance, and fabrication is valued.
• Ability to read safety rules and maintenance instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and the physical plant.
• Wear all proper protective equipment per safety policy and OSHA standards.
• Maintain a safe work environment through good housekeeping and safe habits.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and plant.
• Install new equipment and systems and start/complete work requests.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
