Job summary

Ascent Structural in Scottsboro, AL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair shop equipment, production machinery, and facility systems. This role is critical to keeping production running safely and efficiently.

The technician will perform preventative maintenance on fabrication equipment, troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, diagnose failures to minimize downtime, and maintain building systems.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing or steel fabrication environment is required or industrial maintenance is a plus.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills are essential.
• Basic electrical knowledge; certifications and 3-phase experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fabrication equipment (saws, drills, welders, CNC equipment, forklifts, cranes, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Diagnose equipment failures and minimize downtime
• Maintain building systems, including lighting, air lines, and general facility upkeep
• Order and track maintenance parts and supplies
• Ensure compliance with shop safety standards
