Monarch Steel Company of Alabama, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician with strong electrical and mechanical skills to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of equipment in a steel processing facility.

Applicants should read blueprints and schematics, perform preventive maintenance on drives, motors, conveyors, and power systems, and operate machinery while adhering to safety policies in a high-noise plant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Industry knowledge and experience a plus.
• Completion of a program in mechanical/electrical trades preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical orders to determine assembly methods.
• Operate machinery and equipment; perform preventive maintenance on drives, motors, and conveyors.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE; support a safe work environment.
