Job summary

3M is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and troubleshoot mechanical equipment and piping systems used in production, laboratories, and utilities. You will respond to work orders, implement preventive maintenance, and determine parts and tools needed for each job.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, an associate degree or apprenticeship, and several years of hands-on experience with machining, rigging, and power transmission components.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two-year associate's degree in the mechanical maintenance field, or graduate from an approved apprenticeship program.
• Five years of experience in mechanical maintenance/troubleshooting of industrial processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and adjust mechanical equipment and systems.
• Respond to shop work orders and perform maintenance safely.
• Implement and improve preventive maintenance procedures.
