Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking a Multicraft Industrial Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment in a fast-paced facility in Richmond, VA. The role requires strong mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and welding skills and involves preventive and corrective maintenance, plus the setup of new equipment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding (MIG/STICK), plus the ability to work on a 2-3-2 rotating schedule

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience required.
• Multicraft maintenance experience with strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Experience with MIG and stick welding for equipment repair/fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose hydraulic systems, including valves and pressure controls.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, including PLCs, fuses, motors, megameters, light curtains, and area scanners.
• Maintain pneumatic systems, air cylinders, and fluid controls.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including lubrication, alignment, adjustments, and cleaning.
• Complete equipment repairs and fabrication using MIG and stick welding.
• Install and set up new equipment and machinery.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic presses, conveyor systems, rollers, chains, sprockets, and billet furnaces.
• Support equipment reliability and shutdown maintenance activities.
• Safely operate mobile equipment when required.
• Document completed maintenance and repair work.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety procedures.
• Assist with maintenance projects, equipment improvements, and troubleshooting activities.

Starting Pay: $34.67/hour, with higher rates available depending on experience
Schedule: 2-3-2 schedule, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; overtime and weekends may be required
