Responsibilities

• Travel to store locations to inspect produce facilities, receiving, storing, and displaying product.
• Develop and revise policies and procedures for the Produce Department.
• Evaluate competitors and consult with vendors to improve category management.
• Examine products bought for resale or storage.
• Plan store visits and provide technical assistance to store managers.
• Oversee proper Produce Department protocol and supervise department operations.
• Assist store manager with recruiting, interviewing, and training produce department managers.
• Assist with performance reviews for produce department managers.
