Job summary

United Grocery Outlet in Knoxville, TN (Chapman Hwy) seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily store operations and to assume full store control in the manager’s absence.

You will supervise staff, schedule work, coordinate promotions and displays, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain inventory, cash handling, and asset protection. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent; or six months to one year related experience and/or training.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information; write reports and business correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service and addresses inquiries.
• Plans and assigns work schedules and duties to associates.
• Coordinates promotions and prepares merchandise displays.
• Maintains a clean, neat store appearance at all times.
• Supervises and trains associates; performs duties as needed.
• Manages inventory, reconciles cash, and maintains records.
• Protects assets including cash control and bank deposits.
