SONIC Multi-Unit Leader Job Description

As a Sonic Multi-Unit Leader, you will manage the operations of all General Managers and employees within multiple SONIC drive-ins. You will also be responsible for training and supporting the drive-ins’ employees to ensure quality food is provided in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, ensuring our guests have an enjoyable experience at Sonic. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing, training, and coaching General Managers and conducting management orientation.
  2. Directing and assigning employees to meet operational standards.
  3. Overseeing multiple drive-in employees and management to ensure proper performance in various stations based on store volume and during shifts.
  4. Ensuring compliance with employee handbook, policies, and practices.
  5. Addressing employee issues, policy violations, and reporting them appropriately.
  6. Reviewing work schedules to ensure proper staffing and service levels.
  7. Monitoring cost control procedures and taking corrective actions as needed.
  8. Monitoring vendor performance and taking corrective actions if necessary.
  9. Auditing employment and payroll records.
  10. Reinforcing guest-first service principles.
  11. Responding to guest requests and complaints promptly and respectfully.
  12. Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring management team members.
  13. Approving compensation levels within company guidelines.
  14. Preparing operational reports and developing action plans for financial or sales issues.
  15. Developing and implementing regional marketing plans.

Additional Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced studies preferred.
  • Minimum of three years restaurant management experience, preferably in QSR.
  • Multi-unit supervision experience required.
  • Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and employment practices.
  • Understanding of labor laws and health regulations.
  • Leadership, communication, and supervisory skills.
  • Basic accounting and computer skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, multi-task, and solve problems effectively.
  • Adherence to appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards.
