Job summary

Eataly Downtown is seeking a Multi-Unit HR Generalist to manage recruitment, onboarding, training, policy interpretation, performance management, employee relations and terminations across stores.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will source candidates, conduct interviews, train hiring managers, ensure legal compliance, analyze HR data, and support benefits programs while fostering a fair, inclusive guest-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Managing performance, coaching, and employee relations issues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with HRBP to deploy a comprehensive people strategy across stores.
• Executes recruitment via ATS: sources, screens, coordinates interviews, and manages candidate experience.
• Organizes in-store hiring events and participates in external job fairs.
• Trains hiring managers on ATS usage and interview best practices.
• Ensures proper onboarding and orientation for new hires; supports culture and policy adherence.
• Handles investigations, grievances, and employee relations issues; provides counseling.
• Works with corporate to develop training programs and drives benefits awareness; analyzes HR metrics.
• Performs other duties as required.

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist manages various aspects of the HR function of an Eataly store including but not limited to: recruitment, onboarding, training, interpretation of policies, performance management, employee relations and terminations. Reports to the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP).

• Collaborates with the HRBP to deploy a fully integrated People strategy from acquisition to exit
• Executes all aspects of the recruitment process using the Applicant Tracking System: sources candidates; screens and selects candidates for advancement in the hiring process; coordinates interviews; collects feedback; manages candidate experience and follow up
• Organizes in-store hiring events and participates in external job fairs
• Provides training to hiring managers on the Applicant Tracking System and effective interviewing
• Prepares employees for proper cultural assimilation through onboarding and new hire orientation
• Serves as a fairness advocate and manages employee relations issues: conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations, hearing and resolving employee grievances; counsels employees and supervisors
• Works with managers to make coaching and development of employees a daily activity
• Collaborates with Corporate to build and implement trainings for employees
• Drives awareness and adoption of broad benefits offerings at Eataly
• Conducts and analyzes exit interviews to identify and recommend improvements to existing processes
• Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements
• Supports the HRBP with metrics and data analysis
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in retail and/or hospitality
• Understanding of all components of HR including systems, databases and metrics
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in Spanish preferred

Compensation: The annual compensation for this position is $75,000 - $85,000
