Job summary

MCP Property Management is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to service residential apartments, condominiums, and commercial properties in Western Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, and building systems and perform carpentry, drywall, and finish work with independence and attention to detail.

We value reliability, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate with tenants and managers.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years hands-on property maintenance or construction experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building systems.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Comfortable using smartphones, mobile apps, and digital work order systems.
• Strong organizational skills with accurate tracking of materials, receipts, and expenses.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must have basic hand tools.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Willingness to respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in snow removal operations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs.
• Perform carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and finish work.
• Troubleshoot heating systems, appliances, and mechanical equipment.
• Handle apartment turnovers, renovations, and property improvements.
• Identify maintenance problems and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Document work performed, materials used, and expenses accurately.
• Use mobile apps and technology to manage work orders and track time.
• Communicate professionally with tenants and team members.
• Participate in rotating after-hours emergency on-call schedule.
• Participate in snow removal operations when required.
