Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Multi Trade Operative to cover social housing responsive repairs across multiple regions. The role emphasizes joinery and general repairs, with duties spanning windows, doors, kitchens, tiling, and plastering, plus plumbing tasks as needed.

You'll work in tenanted properties, follow safety policies, and operate within a supportive planning team to ensure efficient job delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Multi Trade Operative with joinery essential.
• Experience in repairs or replacements of windows, doors, kitchens, tiling and plastering desirable.
• NVQ qualifications and driving license required; DBS check may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace windows, doors, kitchens, tiling or plastering as required.
• Carry out vinyl floor laying (cap and cove) if applicable.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs in tenanted properties (toilets, baths, basins, taps).
• Manage your day and workload effectively while following health and safety standards.
• Work within social housing responsive repairs contracts and liaise with planning team.

Summary

Multi Trade Operative

Location: Site based as part of a team covering Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours plus out of hours on call.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi Trade Operative to join Novus Property Solutions, Responsive Repairs division, providing high-quality joinery and multi skilled repairs and replacement services within Social Housing tenanted properties

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

Applications are welcome from experienced candidates that have a Multi Trade Operative background, joinery experience essential. The works include the repairs or replacement of various windows, doors, kitchens, tiling & patch plastering is desirable

Vinyl floor laying (cap and cove) desirable

Basic plumbing repairs, including toilets, baths, shower trays, basins, taps.

Pipework installation and repair, soil stacks and domestic drainage

Working in tenanted properties on responsive repairs.

Social Housing experience is essential.

Working from job tickets or a handheld device on a daily basis linked to a live shared system.

Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively

Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes

Following Novus' exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards

NVQ Level 2/3 Joinery or NVQ Level 2 in Property Maintenance. Plumbing, tiling, plastering skills, PASMA, IPAF knowledge or qualifications are advantageous

Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus

Full UK driving license is required.

The role will also require a DBS check to be completed
