Job summary

The Community Builders, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician II to quickly respond to service requests and prepare apartments for turnover. You will perform interior, exterior, and site maintenance with trades skills, while delivering excellent customer service.

Role requires independent work, safety mindset, and coordination with the Service Manager. On-site daily for a dynamic, community-focused property in DC area.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; trade school preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on repair experience in two or more trades.
• NAHMS/CAMT/OSHA/HVAC certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Respond promptly to service requests and on-call emergencies; coordinate with managers.
• Monitor vendor preventive maintenance for building systems and components.
• Prepare and repair vacant apartments for new move-ins.
• Maintain grounds and common spaces; assist with landscaping and snow removal.
• Prepare for REAC/HQS inspections and audits.
• Keep maintenance shop/inventory organized with safety mindset; wear PPE.
• Weekend work, on-call rotation and emergency duties.
• Guide Maintenance Tech I with technical tasks.
