Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Maintenance Repairman 2 to support the Loysville Youth Development Center with multi-trade upkeep. You will perform carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, masonry, and electrical work to maintain safe facilities for staff and youth.

The role includes equipment maintenance, grounds care, and safety compliance, with travel to other sites for parts and vendor pickups. Regular hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, plumbing, heating and cooling, painting, masonry, and electrical tasks across assigned areas.
• Install, maintain, and repair cooking, refrigeration, laundry, welding, and construction equipment.
• Repair doors, windows, roofing, gutters, partitions, drywall, and structural components as needed.
• Carry out lawn care, snow removal, and security fencing upkeep while operating related equipment.
• Maintain strict accountability for tools and materials and follow all safety and security regulations.
• Drive vehicles to other facilities and vendors for delivery and pick-up of parts and materials.
