Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, is seeking a Maintenance Repairman 2 to support Ridley Creek State Park. This full-time role involves hands-on maintenance across multiple trades to keep park facilities safe, functional and welcoming for visitors.

You will perform skilled repair, maintenance and construction work on buildings, facilities, and equipment, lead staff on projects, and help plan and document work.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 or equivalent (as determined by the Office of Administration).
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance involving at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that covers the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, and mechanical work for construction and repairs.
• Contact vendors, gather cost estimates and prepare forms for supervisor review.
• Guide laborers and other staff during maintenance and construction projects.
• Operate park equipment safely and complete required logs and reports.
• Maintain turf, trails, garden areas, and seasonal tasks such as snow removal.
• Clean and maintain buildings, tools, and materials according to park procedures.
