Job summary

City of Columbia is seeking a maintenance worker to perform semi-skilled tasks across groundskeeping, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and refrigeration/heating. The role includes lawn care, irrigation maintenance, snow removal, restroom upkeep, and general facility maintenance.

Responsibilities include operating tools, reading blueprints, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring safe, clean public spaces at Ridley Sports Park and related facilities.

Qualifications

• Six months to twelve months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Commercial Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mow or edge lawns using mowers or edgers.
• Maintain and repair irrigation systems and equipment.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance tasks at city facilities.
