Job summary

Kemco Facilities Services is seeking a versatile General Field Service Technician for Tampa, Florida. The role covers plumbing, electrical systems, general construction, and handyman work, with preference for laminate countertop installation or repair experience.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diverse systems in retail, banking, restaurants, and healthcare facilities, ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in plumbing, electrical, construction, or related field preferred
• 2–5 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, general construction, and/or handyman work; laminate countertop experience a plus
• Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics; valid driver’s license with clean record; background screening required

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, and general construction elements; perform handyman tasks and laminate countertop repairs or installations as needed
• Identify and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical, and structural components, ensuring efficient and lasting repairs
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep systems operating smoothly
• Communicate repair procedures to clients and provide solutions to minimize downtime
• Adhere to safety regulations and industry standards during all work
• Maintain detailed service records and submit reports and invoices promptly
• Track tools and inventory; order and replenish supplies as needed
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices through continuous learning
