Job summary

Kemco Facilities Services is seeking a skilled General Field Service Technician to join our Miami, Florida team. The role requires proficiency in plumbing, electrical systems, general construction, and handyman tasks, with laminate countertop installation/repair as a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in plumbing, electrical, construction, or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years in plumbing, electrical, construction, or handyman work; laminate countertop experience a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; ability to pass background screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, and general construction systems; perform laminate countertop repairs or installations as needed.
• Identify and resolve issues in plumbing, electrical, and structural components for lasting repairs.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep systems operating efficiently.
• Communicate repair procedures and solutions clearly to clients, aiming to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety regulations and industry standards on all work.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and versatile General Field Service Technician to join our team in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in plumbing, electrical systems, general construction, and handyman work, with preferred experience in laminate countertop installation or repair. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and the ability to service a variety of systems in retail stores, banks, restaurants, and healthcare facilities to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, electrical systems, and general construction elements; perform handyman tasks and handle laminate countertop repairs or installations as needed
• Identify and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical, and structural components, ensuring efficient and lasting repairs
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep systems operating efficiently and prevent unexpected failures
• Communicate effectively with clients, explain repair procedures, and provide solutions that minimize downtime
• Adhere to safety regulations and industry standards during all work
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, services, and parts used; submit service reports and invoices promptly
• Track tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory; order and replenish supplies as needed
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices through continuous learning

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in plumbing, electrical, construction, or a related field preferred
• 2–5 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, general construction, and/or handyman work; experience with laminate countertop installation or repair is a plus
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general construction; ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Relevant certifications in plumbing, electrical, or construction trades are a plus
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record per company policy
• Must pass a satisfactory background screening

Physical Requirements

• Willingness to travel daily to work sites within the assigned Miami / Florida territory
• Ability to work safely around electrical, steam, and high-heat units with appropriate safety equipment
