Job summary

California State University, Fullerton (Cal State Fullerton) is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair building systems across student housing facilities. You will perform HVAC, plumbing, lock/access control, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance, with preventive tasks and responsive repair duties.

Under general supervision, you will document work in CMMS/BAS, support safety standards, and communicate with facilities teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in skilled maintenance across facilities/building trades.
• Journeyman level in one trade; capable of work across related trades.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks on building systems and equipment.
• Respond to work orders; troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, locks, and carpentry.
• Document work via CMMS and building automation systems; ensure safety and compliance.
