Job summary

California State University, Fullerton seeks a Facilities Worker II to perform semiskilled and skilled maintenance across campus assets, including pools, fountains, and related systems. Under supervision, you will carry out cleaning, monitoring, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance.

The role requires three years of hands-on facilities experience, multi-trade knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Three years of hands‑on facilities and systems maintenance experience.
• Proficiency across plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to operate light‑duty trucks, forklifts, and aerial work platforms.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pools, water features, and related systems; monitor water quality and perform preventive maintenance.
• Assist with trigeneration plant, central plant, HVAC, pumps, and mechanical systems.
• Respond to service requests and document work with CMMS.
• Follow safety practices and campus standards; perform heavy lifting as required.
