Job summary

California State University, Fullerton is hiring a Building Service Engineer to operate, maintain, and repair HVAC and related mechanical systems across campus. You will monitor performance, perform preventive maintenance, respond to failures, and ensure safety and compliance using CMMS and related controls.

A background in mechanical trades and knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and energy systems is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of journey-level experience in operation, maintenance, and repair of boiler, heating, ventilating, refrigeration, and air conditioning equipment and systems.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to maintain records and retrieve data using manual or computerized systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical equipment and systems supporting campus facilities.
• Monitor system performance, respond to equipment failures and emergencies, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance.
