Job summary

California State University, Fullerton seeks a Building Service Engineer to operate, maintain, and repair campus mechanical systems, including central plant and trigeneration. You will ensure reliability, safety, and energy efficiency while collaborating with trades staff and campus stakeholders.

The role requires journey-level experience with boilers, HVAC, and related equipment, plus the ability to read plans and use CMMS for maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Two years of journey-level experience in operation, maintenance, and repair of boiler, HVAC, refrigeration, and related equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of high- and low-pressure boilers and related systems.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, plans, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical equipment and systems across campus facilities.
• Monitor performance, respond to equipment failures and emergencies, perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Maintain CMMS records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
