MULTI-TRADE CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN

PDC is seeking skilled and dependable Multi-Trade Construction Technicians to support fast-paced multifamily construction projects. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in painting, drywall, and carpentry who are willing and able to move between trades as project needs and production schedules change.
Successful team members are adaptable, safety-conscious, and committed to quality. They work well with others, can complete assignments independently, and are willing to perform the full range of tasks necessary to keep the job site safe, clean, and productive.
This is a traveling position, individual would be traveling across the country.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Painting
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, masking, and priming.
- Apply paints, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, as qualified.
- Complete touch-up work and final punch-list painting.
- Maintain quality standards while meeting production deadlines.
Drywall
- Install, tape, mud, texture, finish, and sand drywall.
- Repair damaged drywall and complete patchwork as needed.
- Prepare finished surfaces for paint and other final finishes.
- Coordinate drywall activities with the project schedule and other trades.
- Perform rough and finish carpentry work within the employee’s training and experience.
- Install doors, trim, baseboards, cabinets, countertops, shelving, accessories, and hardware.
- Complete framing modifications and minor woodworking repairs or adjustments.
- Read measurements, plans, and construction drawings as required for assigned work.
General Construction Support
- Float between painting, drywall, and carpentry assignments based on project needs.
- Assist with demolition, material handling, site preparation, and punch-list completion.
- Load, unload, transport, stage, and organize tools and materials.
- Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas, including sweeping and debris removal.
- Adjust work priorities as schedules, project phases, and site conditions change.
- Communicate with supervisors and coworkers to support production goals and resolve job-site issues.
- Follow company safety policies, job-site rules, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Safely use and maintain assigned hand tools, power tools, ladders, and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project and organizational needs.
Qualifications
Required
- At least two years of experience in painting, drywall, carpentry, or a closely related construction trade.
- Willingness and ability to perform work across painting, drywall, and carpentry assignments.
- Experience working in multifamily, residential, or commercial construction.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and job-site conditions.
- Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and consistent attention to safety and quality.
Preferred
- Proficiency in two or more of the following areas: painting, drywall, and carpentry.
- Experience in a production-driven multifamily construction environment.
- Working knowledge of construction safety practices.
- Ability to read basic blueprints, plans, specifications, and measurements
