Job summary

Purofirst Fire & Water Restoration is seeking an experienced Construction Technician with a heavy emphasis on drywall to join our team in Victorville, CA. This is not an entry-level position; we require 10+ years of hands-on trade experience and the ability to work independently.

The ideal candidate will master drywall fabrication, finishing, as well as painting, finish carpentry, plumbing and insulation tasks, with a results-driven approach and a tested skill set.

Qualifications

• Drywall: expert hanging walls & ceilings, taping, mudding, texturing.
• Painting and staining interior walls, ceilings, trim.
• Finish carpentry: install casing, baseboard, doors with precise cuts.
• Plumbing: install or reinstall fixtures to code.
• Insulation: proper installation to code.

Experienced Construction Technician – Drywall Specialist

Important Note: This is NOT an entry-level position. If you do not already have the skills and experience listed below, please do not apply. We will not provide training. This is a hands‑on working role, not a supervisor or apprentice position. Only highly experienced tradespeople will be considered.

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Technician with a heavy emphasis on drywall. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in the trades and be capable of independently completing work to professional standards. A skills test will be required.

Required Skills (included but not limited to – drywall is the priority)

• Drywall (primary skill): Must be highly skilled at hanging drywall (walls & ceilings), taping, mudding, texturing, and matching existing textures with precision.
• Painting & Staining: Interior walls, ceilings, trim.
• Finish Carpentry: Install casing, baseboard, doors with clean and accurate cuts.
• Plumbing: Install/reinstall fixtures.
• Insulation: Proper installation to code.

Other Requirements

• Must have and maintain your own tools to perform the above trades.
• Reliable transportation for carrying tools and materials to job sites.
• Ability to lift 80 lbs.
• Must pass and maintain a satisfactory background check, insurable driving record, pre‑employment drug screening, and pre‑employment physical.
