Job summary

NM Residential in Venice, FL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our apartment community. You will ensure all physical aspects of the property meet company standards and comply with laws, troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances, painting, and drywall.

Responsibilities include prioritizing resident work orders, preparing units for new residents, maintaining exteriors, and handling on-call emergencies.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of prior maintenance experience (required).
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license (required).
• EPA Universal Certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances, painting, and drywall issues.
• Respond to and prioritize resident work orders, ensuring timely completion.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents, meeting company standards and checklist requirements.
• Maintain the exterior grounds.
• Conduct property walk-throughs to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform on-call duties as scheduled and respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
