Giant Eagle, Inc. in Pittsburgh is hiring Store Detectives to serve their assigned locations and assist in the detection and apprehension of shoplifters.

This role requires 1–3 years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and being at least 18 years old. You will work with CCTV and assist law enforcement, contributing to a safe retail environment. Regional travel and lifting up to 50 pounds are part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Detect and apprehend shoplifters with the use of standard visual practice and CCTV in multi-store environment.
• Utilize CCTV to create video records of incidents requested by law enforcement and internal departments.
• Troubleshoot, report and provide solutions for malfunctions in CCTV equipment.
• Provide testimony in court cases as required by law enforcement or court representatives.
• Report possible internal integrity issues to the assigned loss prevention representative.
• Communicate effectively with customers and law enforcement personnel.
• Perform other security and loss prevention duties to ensure a safe and secure environment for customers and Team Members.
• Maintain safety as the top priority for our Team Members, guests and products.

The hiring range for this position is $14.75– $21.10 per hour/year. This range represents the anticipated base pay for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and location.
