Job summary

Extra Space Storage is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations across multiple stores in the district. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, identifying storage needs, and driving unit rentals and related sales.

You will maintain high cleanliness, perform safety checks, and handle payments and billing inquiries at a fast-paced site. Day shift with potential Sundays off depending on location; responsibilities include cash handling, deposits, and

Qualifications

1+ year of customer-facing work experience.
Sales experience preferred.
Current valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for bank deposits and travel as needed, except in NYC/Brooklyn.
High School diploma or GED required; college education is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong customer relationships by identifying storage needs and providing tailored solutions.
Maximize sales objectives through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies.
Ensure cleanliness standards through daily maintenance of the site, office, and surrounding areas.
Handle cash transactions, balance receipts, follow up on delinquent payments, process customer payments, and complete daily deposits.
Address and resolve customer concerns related to billing, security, auctions, and proper site usage.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
